JAMMU: A student of JK Public School, Panjtirthi brought laurels to institution by winning a gold medal at the 11th Jammu Division Karate-Do Championship organised by the Traditional Karate Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
Around 170 karatekas from various schools representing different districts of the Jammu division participated in the championship.
Among the participants, Ashita Sadhotra, a Class 4 student of JK Public School (JKPS), Panjtirthi, delivered an impressive performance and secured the Gold Medal in the Kata event, making her school proud.
The achievement was widely appreciated by the school administration. Principal JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah congratulated the young achiever for her outstanding performance and commended her dedication, discipline and hard work.
She expressed pride in Ashita’s accomplishment and said that such achievements motivate other students to pursue excellence in sports alongside academics.
The Principal also encouraged students to actively participate in sports and other co-curricular activities, emphasizing that these platforms help in the overall personality development of students and build qualities such as confidence, determination and teamwork.
