Intramural Cricket tourney held at GDC Samba

SAMBA, Mar 11: Government Degree College (GDC) Samba organized an Intramural Cricket Tournament in memory of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra under the supervision of Principal Prof (Dr) Nirlape Kour. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from student teams and created an exciting sporting atmosphere on the college campus.
The final match was played between Mansar Warriors and Panda Warriors, with Mansar Warriors emerging victorious and lifting the trophy. Vansh delivered an impressive performance in the final match and was declared the Man of the Match. Prince Thakur was awarded the Man of the Series for his consistent and remarkable performance throughout the tournament. Appreciating their efforts, Principal Prof Nirlape Kour awarded both players a cash prize from her own pocket.
Principal Prof Nirlape Kour attended the event as the chief guest and congratulated all the participating teams for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm. She also appreciated the efforts of Physical Director Prof. Pardeep Singh Slathia for successfully organizing the tournament.
Expert remarks were given by Prof N D Sharma, while lively commentary was provided by former cricketer and HoD History Dr Ranjodh Singh Jamwal. Among others present were Dr Banpreet Kour, Dr Kuldeep Singh, Dr Yash Paul Sharma, Dr Narinder Sharma, Dr Anupama, Dr Rajni, Dr Sunita, staff members, and a large number of students. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony honouring the winners and outstanding performers.
