Parihar excels at Golf Federation of India tourney

JAMMU, Mar 11: The grand final of the Golf Tournament, organised by the Golf Federation of India at Karma Lake Lanes, Gurugram, Haryana, brought together winners from various Federation tournaments held across the country. The prestigious event provided a platform for top golfers to showcase their skills and compete for the championship title.
Pawan Parihar (SSP) Commandant IRP-7th Battalion, who had earlier won the All India Civil Services Golf Tournament at JP Greens, Noida, delivered a remarkable performance. Demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship, he narrowly missed the championship title by just one stroke and finished as runner-up.
Parihar excelled in several individual categories, winning Longest Drive with a 315-meter shot, Most Birdies with six and emerging victorious in the four ball event.
In recognition of his outstanding performance, the Golf Federation of India awarded him a gift voucher worth Rs 1 lakh and qualified him for all Federation events during the 2026–27 season across India. His achievements have brought pride to Jammu & Kashmir and highlighted his consistent talent and dedication to golf. The tournament also reinforced the growing competitiveness of Indian golfers on national platforms.
