SRINAGAR, Mar 12: The Government has preponed the Jumat-ul-Vida holiday, shifting it from March 20 to March 13 across the Union Territory.

“In partial modification of Government order number 1894-JK (GAD) of 2025 dated December 12, 2025, and Government order number 1895-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated December 12, 2025, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on account of Jumal-ul-Vida shall now be observed on March 13, 2026 (Friday) instead of March 20, 2026 (Friday), in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” read an order issued by the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha-led administration.
