Aash Foundation distributes scholarships among girl students

JAMMU, Mar 16: Aash Foundation today distributed scholarships among the meritorious girl students at a function held at Writers Club here.
Dr Ashok Bhan former Director General of J&K Police and Vigilance Commissioner was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr Arvind Karwani Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants was the guest of honour.

In his address Dr Ashok Bhan highlighted the significance of educating girl child in this modern time saying no nation can excel if it ignores the role of women. He said women have proved that in no way they are inferior to men and have excelled in various fields by bringing laurels to the countries they belong.
Dr Arvind Karwani, while highlighting the significance of NGOs appreciated the role of Aash Foundation.
On the occasion Muskan Razdan an 11th Class student recited Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta verses from Chapter 12 to 15 which was highly lauded by the audience.
Nirmala Koul and Pallvi Koul mother daughter duo mesmerized audience by their bhajans during the function.
The programme among others was attended by Prof Ashok Aima former Vice Chancellor Central University, Jammu, Bushan Lal Saraf former District and Session Judge, Prof B L Zutshi , president Hindu Education Society, Kashmir, Mrs Harinder Kour, Secretary Academy of Art Culture & Languages, Ramesh Hangloo, Managing Director Radio Sharda, B L Jalali, social activist, Dr R L Dhar former Director Forensic Sciences, Rakesh Hangloo, secretary Aash Foundation. Sanjay Dhar, president, KMECT and Sharika Foundation along with many other achievers from the community.
The event recognised and supported the academic excellence of deserving girl students for their empowerment and promoting their education.
