JAMMU, Mar 16: A Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan allegedly committed suicide inside a camp in Samba district early Monday, officials said.
Head Constable, Hari Babu, of ‘D’ Coy 125 Bn. Force Number 011441230, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was found hanging inside his post at a camp in Penthi area.
The officials said the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
The motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not known immediately, the officials said, adding police have started inquest proceedings and further investigation is on. The deceased had joined 125 Bn BSF on September 28 last year.
