NEW DELHI, Mar 17: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of deputation tenure of S Suresh, the 1995 Kerala cadre IPS officer, currently serving as Additional Director General in the Special Protection Group, till December 31, 2026.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, the extension will be effective from March 9, 2026 to December 31, 2026, by continuing the upgradation of the post from Inspector General level to ADG as a personal measure for the officer, in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy.
