JAMMU, Mar 19: Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs today inaugurated the NHPC Pavilion at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister of New & Renewable Energy Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India, Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical) and Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance) were also present during the inauguration.
During his visit, the Minister was given an overview of the various initiatives undertaken by NHPC, particularly in the areas of hydropower development, renewable energy expansion and sustainable infrastructure.
CMD, NHPC highlighted the organization’s ongoing and upcoming projects, technological advancements and its contributions toward strengthening India’s energy security and supporting the transition to clean energy.
Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, a major global conference and exhibition for the power and electricity sector, is being held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi from 19-22 March 2026.
The four-day summit is themed “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally.”
The event underscores India’s growing demand for reliable and sustainable electricity and highlights the importance of diversifying energy sources.
It features panel discussions, technical sessions and networking opportunities aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among stakeholders.
