Govt constitutes TAC for vetting of “Classroom Digital Board” project

JAMMU: The Government on Friday constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for vetting of specifications for the project “Classroom Digital Board”.
“In terms of S.O. 227 dated July 9, 2021 of Finance Department, sanction is accorded to constitution of Technical Appraisal Committee, comprising five officers, for vetting of specifications for the project “Classroom Digital Board,” read an order issued by M Raju, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department.
As per order, the committee will be headed by the Chief Executive Officer of JaKeGA as chairperson and comprises the State Informatics Officer of NIC J&K along with representatives from IIT Jammu and NIT Srinagar as Members. The Under Secretary to the Information Technology Department will serve as Member-Convener, while the Additional Secretary, School Education Department, has been designated as the Single Point of Contact.
The TAC has been tasked with a comprehensive review of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), covering technical, financial, administrative and legal aspects. It will assess whether the project’s objectives, timelines and deliverables are clearly defined and aligned with government policy.Travel Guides & Travelogues
The panel will also examine the project’s technical design, standards, scalability, security and sustainability to ensure adherence to prescribed norms.
The committee has been directed to submit its report to the Information Technology Department within 45 days from the issuance of the order.
