APS Ratnuchak shines at 10th National Skill C’ship

JAMMU, Mar 22: Demonstrating exceptional innovation and practical problem-solving skills, the students of Army Public School Ratnuchak clinched the first position at the 10th National Skill Championship held at the Lecture Hall Complex, IIT Delhi.
Their project, “RESQBAND – Built for Yatra, Designed for Rescue,” emerged as a standout solution, earning wide appreciation for its relevance and ingenuity. The event, organized by Make Intern in collaboration with Tryst, IIT Delhi, witnessed participation from 24 teams comprising around 150 students from across the country.
On March 21, all 24 teams pitched their innovative ideas before a distinguished panel of judges. Based on their performance, 14 teams advanced to the final round held on March 22, where participants presented detailed business plans and marketing strategies.
Competing against leading institutions such as Delhi Public School, Varanasi; La Martiniere Girls’ College, Lucknow; and Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, along with several other reputed institutions, the team from Army Public School Ratnuchak, Jammu, distinguished itself through its clarity of vision, strong execution and confident presentation, ultimately outperforming all competitors to secure the top position.
The winning team comprised Satyam Sharma (Class X), Mayank Singh (Class IX), Tanmay Sharma (Class VIII) and Ayushman Sahoo (Class VII). The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000, under the mentorship of Vishal Sharma (TGT Science) and Vinay Salgotra (PRT Computer), whose guidance was instrumental in this success. This remarkable achievement underscores the school’s commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial excellence, marking a proud milestone for Army Public School Ratnuchak.
