JAMMU, Mar 22: To discuss the issues which are being faced by the construction workers, a deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, here today.
The deputation was led by Ashok Choudhary, Dy Organizing Secretary North Zone along with Dev Parkash, state president, Neelam Sharma, General Secretary, Mukesh Kumar Dy General Secretary BMS, Harbans Choudhary senior Leader BMS and Samir Kuchay.
They brought in to his notice that functioning of Building Construction workers welfare Board is at stand still because education assistances, marriage assistances, meritorious students scholarship and most importantly death cases files are laying pending for want releasing payment in favour of beneficiaries.
Similarly, recovery of Gratuity cases payment under land revenue Act through the collector are laying pending due to casual approach of Tehsildar recoveries, particularly Tehsiildar Bari Brahmana and Vijaypur.
The deputation also raised the issue of aganwadi workers and daily wagers gratuity recovery cases, which are not being taken up by the recovery authorities.
The LG gave patience hearing to the delegation and assured grievances will be addressed at the earliest.
