PATNA, March 22: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Sunday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 8,931-day public life as a powerful example of continuous dedication, sacrifice, and service to the nation.
Nabin said that Modi’s journey is not merely a political career but a sustained commitment to nation-building, where “every single day has been devoted to the service of the country.”
He made the remarks after the Prime Minister achieved the milestone of becoming the longest-serving head of government in India.
Modi surpassed the previous record of 8,930 days held by former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling, marking a historic moment in Indian politics.
His tenure as head of government includes his long stint as Chief Minister of Gujarat followed by his time as Prime Minister.
Reacting to the achievement, Nabin wrote on social media that the Prime Minister’s public life reflects “tapasya (austerity), sacrifice and unwavering commitment,” adding that it stands as a guiding example for political leadership.
He noted that as Gujarat’s longest-serving Chief Minister, Modi had already established a strong model of development and good governance, which he later expanded at the national level.
According to him, Modi transformed governance from a mere administrative exercise into a powerful instrument of change.
Highlighting key achievements, Nabin said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership and the guiding vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,”
India has made rapid progress in infrastructure development, digital transformation, and welfare delivery, while advancing towards the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
He also pointed to flagship initiatives such as financial inclusion drives, clean cooking fuel schemes, universal health coverage, and housing programmes, which, he said, have ensured that benefits reach the last mile in line with the principle of Antyodaya.
Nabin further said that Modi’s consecutive victories in the 2014, 2019, and 2024 Lok Sabha elections reflect the deep trust and confidence of the people in his leadership. By surpassing Chamling’s long-standing record, he has set a new benchmark in public service, continuity, and stability.
He added that under Modi’s leadership, India’s global stature has significantly risen and the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” has evolved into a mass movement driven by public participation.
Describing the Prime Minister’s tenure as guided by the principle of “Nation First,” Nabin said the milestone sets high standards in governance and public service, serving as an inspiration for current and future generations.
