508th Nirvaan Diwas of Sant Kabir celebrated

BISHNAH, Mar 22: Manghal Kabir Mandir Committee on Sunday organized a grand and spiritually uplifting celebration of the 508th Nirvaan Diwas of Sant Kabir at Manghal in Bishnah Constituency. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees, community members, and several prominent dignitaries, reflecting deep reverence for the timeless teachings of Sant Kabir.
Chairman All J&K Sadhguru Kabir Sabha, J.L Bhagat (Retd. Deputy Commissioner), addressed the gathering and spoke at length about the enduring relevance of Sant Kabir’s philosophy. He said that Kabir’s teachings are not confined to any one religion or community but are a guiding light for humanity as a whole.
President All J&K Sadhguru Kabir Sabha, Shamsher Chand, who paid rich tributes to Sant Kabir highlighted his universal message of peace, brotherhood, and social equality. Addressing the gathering, Shamsher Chand emphasized that Kabir’s teachings continue to inspire generations to rise above caste, creed, and religious divisions. He urged people to adopt Kabir’s ideals in their daily lives to build a more inclusive and harmonious society.
Bushan Dogra, in his address, appreciated the efforts of the Sabha in keeping alive the legacy of Sant Kabir through such meaningful events. He remarked that Kabir’s message of simplicity, truth, and unity holds even greater significance in today’s fast-changing world.
General secretary of the Sabha, Janak Raj, highlighted the organizational efforts behind the successful conduct of the event and reiterated the Sabha’s commitment to spreading the teachings of Sant Kabir across Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon the community to remain united and actively participate in social and spiritual initiatives.
Chairman of Manghal Kabir Mandir Committee, Durgadass, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to all attendees for their participation. He emphasized the importance of community involvement in preserving cultural and spiritual traditions.
President of Manghal Kabir Mandir Committee, Mohan Lal, Vice Chairman of the Sabha, Mahant Subhash Bhagat, Sarpanch Salaher, Tilak Raj, along with other prominent attendees also spoke on the occasion.
