SRINAGAR, Mar 24: The District Ganderbal Taekwondo Championship 2025-26 concluded at the Indoor Sports Hall, Sehpora, Ganderbal, with active participation from young athletes. The event was organised by the Taekwondo Association of District Ganderbal under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council.
Around 70 boys and girls from various schools and clubs across the district competed, while nearly 50 spectators attended the event. The matches were conducted in a disciplined and fair manner, reflecting strong sportsmanship and proper adherence to competition norms.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mufti Taha Niyaz, while Farhan Riyaz attended as chief guest and distributed medals and mementos. Special guests Umer Akbar and Shabir Ahmad were also present.
Officials Shah Faisal Ali and Anas Muneer supervised the event. Rajesh Pangotra congratulated organisers.
