RAJOURI, Mar 26: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a female Assistant Professor and left her husband injured in the Kallar area of Rajouri district on Thursday morning.
According to reports, a Maruti Swift car bearing registration number JK12A-2300 met with an accident at Kallar. In the incident, Dr. Tabassum Naz, an Assistant Professor posted at Degree College Poonch, lost her life on the spot. Her husband, Mohd Hameed (42), son of Hameed Ahmed, sustained multiple injuries and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, in another road accident reported from Deri Lalyot area, two persons sustained injuries. The injured have been identified as Mohd Quder (43), son of Kala Khan, a resident of Thandi Kassi, and Iqbal Be (75), wife of Mir Mohd, a resident of Kallar Kattal, Surankote. Both the injured persons were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of both incidents and further investigation is underway.
