KULGAM, Mar 29: The Taekwondo Association of District Kulgam has announced that it will host the District Kulgam Taekwondo Championships 2025-26 on March 31 at the JKSC Indoor Sports Hall, Qaimoh. The event will be organised under the aegis of the Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association and the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council as part of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
The championship will feature competitions in Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and senior categories, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and competitive spirit. The organisers stated that the event aims to promote grassroot talent and uphold high standards of fairness and professionalism.
Participants must possess a valid JKTA Athlete License, while senior category athletes are required to have Black Belt certification in accordance with guidelines set by the Taekwondo Federation of India.
All participants must submit a completed registration form along with supporting documents, including Aadhaar card and date of birth certificate. The decision to host the championship was taken during a meeting chaired by the Association President.
