Kumaresh A leads, Devyanshu empresses in Int’l Rating Chess Fiesta

JAMMU, Mar 29: Kumaresh A of Tamil Nadu continued his flawless run in the ongoing International Rating Chess Fiesta at IDPS School, Jammu, leading after six rounds with a perfect 6 points. His bold and precise play has set the pace in this competitive event.
Close on his heels with 5 points each are Ram Prakash of Indian Railways, Ishmeet of Punjab and J&K players Aarav Gupta, Ashutosh Jamwal and Pazhany Kohli. A notable highlight has been the performance of blind player Devyanshu Choudhary, who scored 3 points in six rounds against strong opponents, earning widespread appreciation.
The sixth round was inaugurated by XEN PDD Anil Abrol, who praised the arrangements by IDPS School and the organizing team. The event is organized by Jammu District Chess Association in collaboration with Premier Chess Academy USA and IDPS School. International Arbiter Varun Kumar is chief arbiter, assisted by five arbiters, including Anand J S, Arvindu, Nirmal Sharma, Ajit Kumar and Stuti Gupta.
