11 people killed, 49 others injured due to heavy rainfall in NW Pakistan

KARACHI, March 31 :  Heavy rainfall in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has resulted in the deaths of at least 11 people, including 10 children and one woman, while 49 others have been injured, according to rescue officials.

The incidents occurred in the districts of Bannu, North Waziristan, and Kohat, where intense rains led to roof collapses and partial damage to multiple homes, reported Xinhua

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast intermittent rainfall across several districts of the province through Tuesday. Authorities have advised residents to limit unnecessary travel and take appropriate safety precautions.
