JAMMU: As part of celebration of World Sports Journalists Day & to promote culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with J&K Volleyball Association and Sangam Tru Art Production presented 67th musical concert ‘Khelo India’ on Friday. The main focus was drawn to acknowledge work of Journalists by way of promoting sports activities and Yoga for getting rid of menace of COVID -19 pandemic, with special reference to India.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest V K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, while Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government and Dr Anju Kumari Dogra, Health Department Jammu were the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, V K Magotra, who is also associated with Volleyball Association of J&K as Honorary General Secretary, disclosed that Khelo India programmes launched in India would go a long way in making our youth healthy & physically fit.
Artist of BLSKS also presented a number of songs and other items. The songs were written by M L Dogra & music was composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor. The singers, musicians, actors and students of music institute who participated in the musical concert included Rajni Gupta, M C Kotwal, K K Joshi, Chahat Chadha, Rajinder Saini and Sanjeev Sodhi while Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
