Senior Bombay high court judge Rohit Deo shocked the judiciary and the city’s legal fraternity on Friday by announcing his resignation as a judge with immediate effect in open court. Lawyers attributed his move to the sudden transfer order issued by the HC registry on the recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium on Thursday in which he was given the option to move to the Allahabad HC.
