Investigation into the arsenic poisoning case where United Kingdom (UK)-based pharmacist M Ajith Kumar allegedly conspired to kill his estranged wife’s family in Hyderabad by lacing their spices with the chemical substance, has found that the accused initially tried to hire a criminal to eliminate the family, but after receiving ‘supari’, the supposed contract killer was sentenced to life in another case, forcing the accused to come up with the slow poisoning plot.
