SOG cop injured in grenade attack near DPL Doda

Bhadarwah: A SOG jawan of Jammu and Kashmir Police got injured when unknown persons hurled a grenade outside DPL Doda on Monday afternoon, police said.
According to SP Operation Doda Raj Kumar, one SOG of J&K Police got injured, when he along with other jawan was on duty on the gate of District Police Lines (DPL) Doda. SP Operation said that the grenade attack took place in an under construction building outside DPL Doda. District Doda is militancy free but it could be a work of active OGWs, who want to revive the militancy in the area.
The injured cop was shifted to Associated Hospital Govt Medical College Doda, where he is said to be stable. MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda Dr Yudhvir Singh said that the cop have injury in his leg and is under going treatment. “he is stable and out of danger.” The injured Cop has been identified as Zahoor Ahmed 45 S/O Muneer Ahmed R/O Poonch. SP Operation Doda Raj Kumar said that additional police and army personnel have been rushed to the area to take stock of the situation. “Extra personnel of security forces were deployed and search operation is going on as the area has been cordoned off,” Officer added.
