According to the report, the backward class in Bihar constitutes 27.13 per cent of the population, while the extremely backward class accounts for 36.01 per cent. “The total population of Bihar is more than 13 crore. General category is 15.52 per cent,” Vivek Kumar Singh, additional chief secretary, Bihar, said.
