6.1 magnitude earthquake hits Nepal

On Sunday, Nepal’s capital city, Kathmandu, experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located in Dhading, as reported by the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre. This seismic event occurred at 7:39 am and its tremors were also felt in other districts within the Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or damage resulting from this tremor. Nepal is situated in a region where earthquake activity is quite common.
