Rajni Tudu, the wife of Virender Kisku who has been trapped in the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi, expressed her desperation for her husband’s safe return. She last spoke to him a day before Diwali and has been waiting for his call since then. Rajni plans to stay in the area until her husband is safely evacuated. The couple has been married for 19 years and has four children. Rajni has instructed her other children not to inform their eldest daughter, who lives in a hostel and is unaware of the situation, as it could disturb her studies. Virender’s elder brother, Devender Kisku, has also joined the vigil for his brother’s rescue.
