Chinese prisoner’s ID found in coat from British brand Regatta

A Chinese prisoner’s identification card was discovered in the lining of a Regatta waterproof women’s coat bought during the Black Friday sale in Derbyshire. The card had a mugshot of a man in a prisoner’s uniform and the name of a prison in China. The customer contacted Regatta’s customer service, who acknowledged it was a Chinese work ID and stated it looked like a prison ID. Regatta, a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative, claims to prohibit forced or imprisoned labor in its supply chain.
