Heavy rush at Sabarimala continues, darshan time extended

The government has extended the time of darshan by one hour at the Lord Ayyappa shrine in Sabarimala due to the heavy rush of pilgrims. The decision was taken after a meeting between devaswom minister K Radhakrishnan and Thantri Kantararu Mahesh Mohanaru. The temple’s nada will now open at 3pm every day during the pilgrim season. This decision aims to ensure smooth darshan for all pilgrims, as there have been complaints of long waiting times and traffic jams. The Devaswom Board and the court supported the demand to extend the time of darshan, allowing pilgrims 18 hours a day for darshan.
