Enforcement Directorate officials conducting raids in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal were attacked by locals and followers of TMC leader Sheikh Shajahan. The officials, who were investigating a ration scam, were beaten up in the presence of CRPF jawans. The attackers, armed with firearms and other weapons, vandalized the team’s vehicles and injured one official. The officials and jawans had to flee the spot to save their lives. The BJP called the attack orchestrated and highlighted the law and order situation in the state.
