Social, trade, other organizations celebrate 75th Republic Day

JAMMU, Jan 27: Different social, trade, business and other organizations here celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India and organized a variety of programmes in this regard.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu celebrated the 75th Republic Day with fervour. A programme was organized in this regard at Chamber House which commenced with hoisting of National Flag by Arun Gupta, CCI president after which National Anthem was recited.
An impressive function was held at Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) office to celebrate the 75th Republic Day in the presence of Lalit Mahajan, president BBIA; Ajay Langer, vice president; Mukund Tibrewal, Assistant Superintendent of Police; Rajinder Raina, Manager Estate, J&K SIDCO, Bari Brahmana and others. The National Flag was hoisted by Lalit Mahajan after which National Anthem was recited.
A large number of former civil servants joined a function organized by Central Government Pensioners’ Welfare Association Jammu to celebrate 75th Republic Day. President of the Association, Kuldeep Khoda along with former Chief Secretary B.R Kundal; former Chief Secretary & State Election Commissioner, B.R Sharma; former DGP, Dr. Ashok Bhan and patron & former ADG, S.S Wazir unfurled the Tricolor ceremonially followed by National Anthem.
To celebrate the 75th Republic Day as Sankalap Divas, Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Parade, Jammu organized a function and Sabha president, Ved Parkash Sharma hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Senior BJP leader, Chander Mohan Sharma; NMC chief, Subash Shastri; Soujanay Sharma, former JMC Commissioner and others. National Anthem was also recited on this occasion.
Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha celebrated the Republic Day with enthusiasm and National Flag was hoisted by Sabha president, Romesh Chander Gupta. Speaking on the occasion Sabha president talked about rapid progress made after independence. Yash Paul Gupta, chief patron and Shiv Pratap Gupta, senior vice president also spoke on the occasion. Proceedings were carried by Subash Gupta, vice president. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Harinder Gupta, senior vice president; Sanjay Mahajan, general secretary; Balbir Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Atul Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Satish Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Darshan Kumar Gupta, Vinod Lovely, Ashok Gupta, Raghbir Gupta, Subash Jandial, Om Parkash Gupta, Bhushan Pargal, Atul Gupta, Anil Gupta, women wing members of the Sabha like Meenakshi Gupta, Surishta Gupta and others.
District Bar Association Kathua celebrated the 75th Republic Day and the National Flag was unfurled by Bar president, Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma. National Anthem was recited by the gathering and salute was given to the National Flag.
Residents of Doda celebrated the 75th Republic Day with enthusiasm at Sports Stadium Doda. The chief guest, Dhananter Singh Kotwal, chairman District Development Council unfurled the National Flag and took salute of the march-past comprising contingents from JKP, CRPF, IR 5th Bn, SSB, JKAP, FPF, NCC SD, NCC JD, NSS GDC and students from different schools. Vice Chairperson, Sangeeta Rani Bhagat; Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh; SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom and others were also present on the occasion.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated in District Jail Udhampur with great enthusiasm and the function started with unfurling of National Flag by Superintendent Jail, Dharminder Singh after which the National Anthem was recited. Guard of Honour was presented by CRPF personnel of C/187 Bn.
On 75th Republic Day, Gurdeep Singh Saini, former Sarpanch of Gandali Panchayat unfurled the National Flag at various locations in the Panchayat and also at the memorials of Shaheed Tarsem Lal and Shaheed Nayak Surendra Singh Saini.
J&K Dharmarth Trust celebrated 75th Republic Day with patriotic fervour wherein the programme commenced with unfurling of National Flag by Brig. R.S Langeh (Retd), Trust president along with Trust’s secretary, Ashok Kumar Sharma (SSP Rtd) in the presence of employees of the Central Office. This was followed by saluting of the National Flag and singing of National Anthem.
Officials of LIC Branch, Shalamar headed by its Branch Head, Sanjay Sharma also joined the Republic Day celebrations.
Recently established Taushi Shakha of Bharat Vikas Parishad celebrated 75th Republic Day with enthusiasm and the National Flag was unfurled by Shakha president, Ajay Khajuria at Rehari Colony. National Anthem was recited and patriotic songs were sung by participating children. Regional president of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Dev Raj Sharma and State president, Bharat Bhushan also graced the occasion.
Balgran—a charitable home for children at Channi Rama celebrated the 75th Republic Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Padamshree Balwant Thakur, Internationally Acclaimed Creative Theatre Director. Speaking on the occasion Honorary president of Balgran, Vinod Raina talked about the noble cause for which the Balgran was set up.
Dogra Sadar Sabha celebrated Republic Day with the spirit of patriotism. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Sabha president unfurled the National Flag and stressed on preserving the values of democracy, brotherhood and communal harmony. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Col. Karan Singh, vice president; Prem Sagar Gupta, general secretary; Dr. Vidya Sagar Sharma, Ravi Singh, Pawan Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Deepak Khanna, Retish Langer, Rahul and others.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Dogra Sewa Sambhal Trust at Ramlila Ground Gangyal in which former Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria hoisted the National Flag after which National Anthem was recited. Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria appealed all to contribute to the fulfillment of PM Modi’s resolve of a capable, self-reliant and developed India. He also participated in National Flag hoisting at Samadhiyan Jeevan Nagar, Gadigarh, Belicharana, Kunjwani, Babliana, Raipur Satwari, Cantonment, Digiana, Model Town, Trikuta Nagar and Nanak Nagar.
Morning Walkers Association, Lohar-Manda Hill Top celebrated Republic Day and hoisting of National Flag was done at Lohar-Manda Hill Top. Anil Sharma, Rampal, Pawan Sharma, Ashok Bali, Shiv Charan Singh, Ravi Bindroo and others spoke on the importance of the day.
Greenbelt Morning Walkers organized a colourful function to celebrate 75th Republic Day. About two hundred morning walkers and their families participated in the function. Two eldest members, Dr. Subash Gupta, former Principal Government Medical College, Jammu, and H.S Bahri, former Session Judge unfurled the National Flag after which National Anthem was sung by the participants.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at Apsara Road in Gandhi Nagar wherein former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta unfurled the National Flag. BJP District president, Rekha Mahajan; Indu Bhushan Sharma, BJP senior leader and members of Apsara Road Traders Association were also present on this occasion.
Fruit & Vegetable Association, Narwal Mandi celebrated 75th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and fervour. Surinder Singh Kala, Association president hoisted the National Flag in presence of Sham Lal Langar, convener BJP Trade Cell, J&K; Vishal Kohli, vice president of the Association; Rajinder Singh, junior vice president; Ankur Anand, general secretary; Anil Sharma, secretary and Tarsem Gupta, cashier.
New Rehari Welfare Society members celebrated 75th Republic Day with pomp and show at Rana Rajinder Singh Park, New Rehari Jammu.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated in Gandhi Nagar, Ward number 20 with great zeal and the National Flag was hoisted by Rahul Kumar, Ex-JMC Councillor of Ward number 20 in presence of Rikki Gupta, State executive member; Ward president, Satbir Singh; District publicity secretary, Sandeep Gupta; Vivek Khullar and others. National Anthem was also recited on this occasion.
Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) celebrated 75th Republic Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, Society president. Krishna Kishore Khajuria, Chairman Rainbow Public School Gandhi Nagar Jammu; Principal of the School, Suman Sharma; Nirmal Mahajan, Nitish Mahajan, Suneel Mahajan, Neeraj Puri, Bharat Sharma, Rohit Mahajan, Dr. Arun Gandotra, Parveen Kakkar, Vijay Gupta Advocate Harshvardhan Gupta, general secretary TNWS were also present on the occasion.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with fervour at Shri Ram Chowk Channi Himmat wherein Ishant Gupta, State IT Head BJP J&K and Neena Gupta, ex-JMC Councillor unfurled the National Flag. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Prof. Bhola Nath Sharma, H.C Vaid, Ashok Gupta, Rajinder Gupta, Sourabh Sethi, Amit Gandotra and others.
Republic Day was celebrated at Talab Tillo by Kailash Nagar Welfare Society and the National Flag was unfurled by Society president, Ankush Abrol. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Ravinder Muthoo, Rajkumar Verma, Surinder Kumar, Ritesh Gupta, Shashi Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Nisha Verma, Sonu Gupta and others.
The Welfare Committee Rehari/Dogra Hall, Ward number-8 headed by N.D Rajwal as chairman celebrated the 75th Republic Day. National Flag was hoisted by senior vice president, Prem Sagar Gupta in the absence of N.D Rajwal due to his health problem.
To celebrate the 75rd Republic Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan staged Musical Play ‘Uncha Rahe Trianga’ at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur. The function was inaugurated by Yash Pal Sharma, former-JMC Councillor who unfurled the National Flag along with V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity.
A grand function was organized at Swaran Vihar Colony to celebrate 75th Republic Day. The National Flag was hoisted by S.M Raina.
Republic Day was celebrated at Rehan Basera Boria Basti Gorkh Nagar Bahu Fort Jammu wherein inmates of Shelter Home (Home for Urban Homeless) also joined the function organized by Management Committee of Rehan Basera. National Flag hoisting ceremony was performed by Sham Lal Basson, former JMC Councillor along with Retd Judge, Subash Gupta and others.
Sham Lal Basson also hoisted National Flag at Kalika Colony Chowk and at main Chowk Gorkh Nagar along with Vaishno Kapoor, president Dogra Sabha Gorkh Nagar Bahu Fort.
Tawi Welfare Society organized a function at Apnavan Sure Chak to celebrate 75th Republic Day. Master Kavi Raj, president Tawi Welfare Society accompanied by Hem Raj, Assistant Sub Inspector Phallain Chowki unfurled the National Flag.
On 75th Republic Day, a programme was organized by Team Rising Jammu at Trimurti Mandir Chowk, Janipur in which BJP Prabhari Jammu Parliamentary Constituency, Pawan Sharma was chief guest and former JMC Councillors Subhash Jandyal, Sunita Gupta and Yash Pal Yash were guests of honour and they unfurled the National Flag.
On Republic Day tribute were paid to martyrs at Martyrs Chowk Udhampur by lightning candles and lamps. The event was organized by All J&K Patwar Association in collaboration with Police and Revenue Departments. Saloni Rai, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur; Ghansham Singh, ADDC Udhampur; Joginder Singh, SSP Udhampur; Joginder Singh Jasrotia, ADC Udhampur and others were also present on the occasion.
On Republic Day, a function was organized at Company Bagh Pumping Station in Jammu where Balbdar Raj Vaid, president Water Works (PHE) Employees Association hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Gian Chand, Ram Pal Saini, Ajay Sharma and others.
On 75th Republic Day, Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and Workers Association, Udhampur organized a programme at PHE Station Barrian. Som Nath, senior trade union leader and district president of the Association along with R.K Mahajan, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Udhampur hoisted the National Flag and the children recited the National Anthem.
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Welfare Society celebrated the 75th Republic Day at its both schools—V.K Sarvodaya Pry School, Trikuta Nagar and V.K Sarvodaya Middle School Rajeev Nagar, Narwal. Principal Yogita Bakshi spoke on the importance of the day and the National Flag was also hoisted. Society president Rashmi Sharma; working president, Bharat Bhushan; treasurer, Neeta Mehta; deputy secretary, Richa Arora and Veena Sharma were also present.
