JAMMU: A hardcore criminal was booked under PSA by Police Station R S Pura on Friday.
As per details, a hardcore criminal cum history-sheeter namely Sunil Kumar alias Gokul, son of Tarsem Lal, resident of Chak Aslam, R S Pura was booked in Public Safety Act as he was carrying on illegal activities and disturbing peace in the society. Jammu Police was in search of criminal and for this special team of Police Station R S Pura under supervision of SDPO Shabir Khan were constituted. The team led by SHO Insp Jai Pal Sharma raided various suspected locations and on basis of specific inputs, finally arrested the accused.
Various FIRs were registered against him including FIR No 213/14 under sections 341/323 of RPC 4/25 of A Act; FIR No 83/15 under sections 307/341/323/382/147 of IPC 4/25 of A Act; 80/2016 under sections 341/323/34 of RPC 4/25 of A Act; 223/17 under sections 3/25, 4/25 of A Act; 59/2018 under sections 323/458/34 of RPC 4/25 of A Act; 67/18 under sections 307/341/323/147/149 of RPC 4/25 of A Act; 06/2020 under sections 452/323/201/34 of IPC 4/25 of A Act and FIR No 125/2021 under sections 3/25, 4/25 of A Act. It is pertinent to mention that accused was also involved in illegal trade of drugs and psychotropic substances. Further investigation is going on in matter.
