Jammu doctor part of Indian Olympic contingent

JAMMU: Though no athlete from Jammu and Kashmir could make it to the Tokyo Olympic, a Jammu based doctor, Karanjeet Singh has been made part of the support staff.
Otherwise moved to the neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh, where he serves along with his doctor wife, Karanjeet Singh is part of the Indian Boxing contingent as sports medicine specialist.
Important to mention here that Karanjeet is young brother of former India Handball captain, Ranjit Singh.
Earlier, Chain Singh of district Doda had qualified for the prestigious event and was supposed to represent J&K in the world’s highest sports event, but the ace shooter could not make it to the final list thus remained in the standbys.
