JAMMU, Aug 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Nowabad area here claimed they have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 29 grams of heroin from their possession.
A police official said that Shabbir Ahmad Wani of Wangipora, Shopian, and Shabbir Ahmad Kuchay of Kader Kulgam, were arrested with the consignment near Exhibition Ground, Press Club of Jammu by a team of Police Station Nowabad led by Head Constable Dharminder Singh while performing routine patrolling duty.
He said the duo has been booked in case FIR number 121/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nowabad and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Nowabad Police supervised by Inspector Deepak Pathania, SHO Nowabad under the guidance of DSP Headquarters Ashok Kumar and Shivam Siddharth, SP City North Jammu.
