Handball Week begins at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Following the guideline of the Handball Federation of India (HFI), Kargil Martyrs’ Club organised Handball Week under the aegis of District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) and in support with Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust at Mini Stadium, here today.
The organisers have planned various activities for the week ahead following the schedule and message spread by the HFI to its state and district units as also to those clubs working for the promotion of the game.
The week-long activity was jointly launched by special guests, Deputy Director FCS and CA Civil Secretariat, Anil Sharma and District officer (DYSS), Swaran Singh in the presence of host of senior players and officials of Handball.
Speaking to the gathering of players, their parents and the spectators, special guests complimented the organisers for the collective efforts to promote the game of Handball in the district.
During the Handball Week, qualified technical penal comprising, Karun Magotra, Vipan Photra, Ravi Kumar, Rishi Kumar and Sourav Pandit shall conduct different activities. Also present were Vinod Dogra, Sanjay Sharma, Manmeet Singh, Bandana Sharma, Sanjay Sudan, Pawan Jamwal and Goutam Singh.
“Kargil Martyrs’ Handball Club works hard for the promotion of the game in Udhampur. To further encourage the Club, it was decided by the members of the Trust to support the team in their efforts to follow the instructions of the HFI to celebrate Handball Week,” said, Ashutosh Sharma, one of the Trustees of Arun Sharma Sports and Social Welfare Trust.
