JAMMU, Oct 8: Beopar Mandal president and district Congress general secretary, Gurmeet Singh has claimed that BJP is looting the people in the name of taxes.
He said why there is hike in petrol and diesel prices almost every day when the international crude oil prices are low.
“Hike in petrol, diesel and LPG prices will have to be reversed,” he said while speaking in a meeting adding that when Congress-led UPA Government was in power, relief was given to the people even though international crude oil prices were soaring while the Modi Government is raising petrol and diesel prices, burdening the common people.
Singh further said that BJP Government is responsible for the plight of common man and unemployed youth as well as the sufferings of different sections of the society.
Ward no. 3 president, Hardavinder Singh; Ward no. 15 president, Raj Kumar Sodhi; Manohar Joshi, Ranjit Kumar, Pooja, Asha Devi, Raj Kumar, Yash Sharma, Amarpreet Singh, Vijay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Apu Singh, Javesh Arora and others were also present in the meeting.
