JAMMU, Nov 23: The 11th Annual Day cum prize distribution ceremony of RM Public School Jammu ‘Aarangam’ was organized at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here today.
The chief guest for the magnificent event was Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment and Tribal Affairs Department (J&K). Presiding guest was Suresh Kumar Gupta (Principal Secretary Education J&K), Shailender Singh (SSP Railways, Jammu) and guest of honour, SP Varma.
Padamshree awardee Lakshmi Dutt Shastri, Jagdish Chandar, Chairman of the School Rameshwar Mengi, Trustee Rita Mengi, Director Pushp Vatika, Risheek Mengi and eminent guests from sister concern schools also showed their presence.
School Director Rakshan Mengi along with Vice Principal Dr Harvinder Kour and Administrator Surinder Singh extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries. The two-hour long cultural show captivated the audience and left them in awe as the show culminated. The event included startling performances like Interstate flare, theatrical performance on Transgenders, Mask and Robot dance and energetic bhangra by the students which illuminated the whole event and filled it with enthusiasm.
A euphonious rendition of the school Anthem ‘We are RMPS family’ was the main attraction presented by the School orchestra team. The event witnessed the inauguration of the 3rd volume of the School Magazine – ‘Dishari’ with spark and blaze.
