JAMMU, Dec 8: People of Hindu community today held protests in Poonch and Samba districts against the ill-treatment with the minority community in Bangladesh.
President of Sanatan Dharam Sabha Poonch and other protestors while expressing anger said that we are regularly noticing what is being done with the minority community there and ask question to all those organizations who talk about the human rights and peace, why they are not coming forward to condemn and stop the atrocities against minority communities in Bangladesh.
They said that as in other parts of the country, we staged protest against Bangladesh and in favour of our Hindu brothers, we urge the Central Government to intervene and resolve this issue at the earliest.
Meanwhile, a protest rally against Bangladesh Government was taken out in Samba. The protest rally started from Veer Bhumi Park and concluded at main chowk. Many Hindu leaders including MLA Samba Surjit Singh Slathia addressed the people at main chowk.
Different Hindu organizations participated in the protest rally and expressed their anger. Hundreds of Hindus participated in the protest rally and asked the United Nations to intervene. Rishu Gupta, Rahul Gupta, Harsh Sharma, Rameshwar Sambyal, Ashwani Sharma, Tribhuvan Sharma and many others were present in the protest rally.
