JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Sunday appreciated senior Congress leader and former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for his remark on improvement in the situation across the UT of J&K.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Kavinder said that Azad’s remark on the prevailing situation in J&K is true to the hilt although the top brass of his party thinks otherwise or one can say that Rahul and his ilk pretend to believe what is not true at all. He said that Ghulam Nabi Azad is a seasoned politician and that is the reason he has given a balanced statement on the issue. He said that Rahul Gandhi despite being part of the top brass of the party has limited knowledge over the Kashmir problem and that is the reason behind the contradiction of his statements on Kashmir which show the immaturity level of this central leader of the Congress party. He showered all praises on Azad for taking things in true spirit which is the need of the time as enemies of nation including Pakistan and China are trying to destabilize the country by misusing the Kashmir problem.
He said that no one in the country takes Rahul Gandhi seriously because of his foolhardy statements and that is the reason behind people not showing any interest in his statements on Kashmir situation as the same are bogus and baseless. He said that G.N Azad being the son of the soil knows the nitty-gritty of the UT of J&K and the inputs which he got from the party activists has convinced him to publicly announce that the situation in Valley has improved substantially.
Kavinder made it clear that the BJP Government under PM Narendra Modi will not allow anyone to sabotage peace and prosperity efforts. He said that Rahul Gandhi should also understand his responsibility to act in a more mature way while speaking on sensitive matters like Kashmir as playing petty politics in every matter at times is not good for the nation and its people.
