UDHAMPUR: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held today under its President Vinod Sharma which was attended by a large number of NPS employees of Education, PDD, Forest and Youth services and Sports.
Speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma raised the burning issues of NPS Employees and demanded the old pension scheme for all such employees. He said that pension is the only source of income and a ray of hope for the employees after their retirement, but NPS scheme has snatched the said source thereby pushing them in distress.
He appealed to the LG to intervene in the matter and grant the old pension scheme for the NPS Employees so that they may not suffer in their old age. Speakers of various departments raised the NPS issue and said that shortcomings in the scheme are forcing the employees to come on joint platform to demand old pension scheme.
JKTJAC announced one representative of NPS from education department each from all the zones of Udhampur including Bharat Bhushan Singh from Chenani, Ravikant from Babey, Rajesh Jamwal from Ghordi, Yudhvir Singh from Kulwanta , Parshant Sharma from Jib, Mohd Mustfa from Tikri, Ajit Singh from Udhampur, Pama Chand from Panchari, Lakshdeep from Majalta, Uttam Chand from Dudu and Vishwa Nath from Ramnagar.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Lekh Raj Parihar Distt president Udhampur , Sham Sharma UT Chief Advisor, Sukesh Khajuria UT Chief Press and Media Secretary, Ravinder Singh Rathore General Secretary, Sham Singh , Anil Sharma, Vipin Sharma, Viney Sharma, Swaran Singh, Amit Gupta, Pankaj Thakur, Romesh Goswami, Vandana Gouria, Viney Magotra, Arjun Singh, Ashok Sharma , Mohd Din , Darshan Singh, Angrez Singh, Anuradha, Shashi, Madhu Bala and others.
