GGM Science College organises seminar on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

JAMMU: The Red Ribbon Club of GGM Science College, in collaboration with Road Safety Club, NCC and NSS units of the college organized a seminar to mark the celebration of National Unity Day as part of 75th Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav under the patronage of Principal of the college, Dr. Ravender Tickoo,
The Guest speaker for the first session was Dr. M. Ashaq Malik, Asst. Professor, GDC Rajouri who delivered a lecture on “Fundamental Rights and Duties to Uphold Unity and Integrity of India”.
In his lecture, he emphasized on the need to revisit our educational system so as to produce responsible citizens and create a more humane world.
The Resource Person for the second session was Raj Pal Singh, Addl. SP Traffic, Jammu. He interacted with the students regarding the “Role of Youth in maintaining Road Safety”.
More than 60 NCC SW cadets and NSS volunteers alongwith other students have attended the seminar following all Covid SOPs.
The programme was presided over by Prof. Bimla Devi, Head, Department of Botany of the college. The Welcome Address was given by Dr. Chanchal Angral, Convener, Red Ribbon Club. Dr.(Capt.) Anjana Sharma, ANO NCC and other members of Red Ribbon and Road Safety Club Prof. Harvinder Kour, Prof. ShrdhaAnand, Prof. Asha Sharmal, Prof. Kiran Bala and Prof. Akanksha Parihar were also present in the event.
The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Narinder Kumar, NSS Programme Officer.

Jammu
