REASI: District Police Reasi organized Police Martyrs Volleyball tournament at Police Station Mahore in the memories of brave Martyrs of district Reasi. Tournament was inaugurated by Chhabil Singh SDPO Mahore.
In all, six teams from Mahore and adjoining region participated in the event.
Players with vibrant teams of Bhagga, Jamslan, Mahore, Malla, Arbase, and team of Reasi Police participated in the contest. Matches were held on knock out basis. Final was won by team of Malla over Bhagga.
Trophies, Certificates were distributed among the Participants. Besides refreshments were also distributed among the players.
Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi conveyed that there are two main motives behind such tournaments; one is to pay tributes to the bravery of Martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the nation and second is to provide platform to the youth of the area to display their unexplored talent.
SSP further added that Reasi Police is paying tributes to the Martyrs of district Reasi through series of events. On the one hand Police officers of district Reasi are visiting the families of the Martyrs so as to resolve the issues faced by them on day to day basis and on the other hand Reasi Police is organizing sports events in the memories of proud martyrs in every nook and corner.
Singh also shared that Reasi Police is going to organize more such events in district Reasi in near future which includes, Half Marathon, drawing & Painting Competition, debates, Cultural events by involving Singers, Dancers, Poets and Writers of the area.
