POONCH, Apr 26: A fisherman was drowned in Poonch river last evening and the search for him has been launched by the locals, SDRF and J&K Police which is still going on but the drowned person has yet not been found.
Official sources said that the deceased is a fisherman and while fishing, he drowned in river at Mangnar village, near general memorial of Poonch during evening hours yesterday after which locals, SDRF and J&K Police launched search operation which was continued till late night.
The operation was once again started in the wee hours today but teams were not successful to find the drowned person yet.
Officials have identified the drowned person as Mohd Younas (40), son of Mohd Bashir resident of Fazalabad in Surankote, a senior police officer said the operation to search that person is going on and we hope that soon we may get some leads to find the drowned person.
