JAMMU: The Court of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class (Sub-Judge), Jammu, Renu Dogra Gupta on Saturday rejected the bail application of an accuse accused in a case FIR No: 237/2021 registered at Police Station (PS) Satwari for the commission of offence U/s 489-A/489-C/IPC.
The application filed in the Court to grant bail to accused Amarpreet Singh son of Joginder Singh resident of Sector – 2, Upper Gadi Garh, Jammu through Advocate Pawan K Kundal rejected by the Court by stating, ‘Counterfeiting fake currency and its circulation is severely detrimental to the economy and hampers the financial regulations of the country. The accused seems to be part of a well organized syndicate involved in printing, procuring, circulating fake Indian currency notes.”
The Court order reads, the offences alleged against the accused are very serious and heinous in nature and investigation is still at its infancy stage. Prima facie accused is involved in dealing in fake Indian currency notes and in view of the gravity of the offence accused is not entitled for bail.
