JAMMU, Sept 9: Ex- Policemen League, District Jammu in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Karanjit Singh, offered to render help the rain, floods-hit people.
The members pointed out that there has been huge loss of precious human lives and property. Many people lost their homes. All decided to contribute in the rehabilitation funds. All retired Police personal voluntarily offered help of every kind to the sufferers.
Policemen helping at their own life risk. Other issues like provision of free medicines to the serving and retired Police personal in Government Hospitals and special recruitment of childrens of Police retirees in Police force and other departments.
Members also demanded special discount in by air and railway traveling for the Ex- Police personnel. Financial help may be provided to the retirees who suffered house damages due to rains. Large number of Police veterans including SSPs Suresh Kumar Sharma, Mahadeep Singh Jamwal president Senior Citizens Club Udhampur, Sarwar Chohan, SPs SR Datta, DSPs Satpal Sharma Parshotam Bali, Mohan Singh, Lal Chand Bhagat, JS Chib senior vice president, Insp Taj Mohd, Satpal Singh and others also attended the meeting.
