SAMBA, Sept 16: In a humanitarian outreach, BJP MLA from Vijaypur Chander Parkash Ganga, along with BJP JKUT vice president, Rekha Mahajan, today inaugurated a free medical camp at Rahya to support residents severely affected by the recent floods.
The camp was organized to deliver essential healthcare services at a time when flood-hit families are facing acute hardships.
A dedicated team of doctors and paramedical staff from AIIMS Vijaypur provided free consultations, distributed medicines, and conducted health check-ups for hundreds of people. Special focus was given to preventing and treating waterborne diseases, skin infections, and other health risks that usually follow flood situations.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Chander Parkash Ganga said, “The health and well-being of our people in flood-affected areas is our top priority. Through this camp, we want to ensure that timely medical assistance and preventive care reaches every family in need. The administration and the party are committed to extending every possible help until complete normalcy is restored.”
Rekha Mahajan emphasized the party’s duty towards those in distress.
“Service in times of crisis is the true test of leadership. This initiative is not just about healthcare, but also about standing shoulder to shoulder with our people and ensuring they don’t feel abandoned. More such relief measures and camps will follow in other affected areas,” she assured.
Local residents expressed gratitude for the timely initiative, calling it a lifeline in their hour of crisis. The camp provided not only medical relief but also reassurance that their concerns were being heard and addressed.
Also present on the occasion were BJP senior leader, Jai Ram Sharma, BMO Purmandal, Dr. Vivek Magotra, BJP Seh Parbhari Samba, Manmohan Singh, BJP district secretary, Narinder Partap Singh, BJP block president, Dheeraj Sharma, block vice president Bhupinder Singh, Sarpanch Daljeet Singh, and senior BJP Karyakartas Vikas Sharma and Binder Singh.
