JAMMU, Sept 19: Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, today concluded the Inter-Zonal District Level Competitions in Yoga and Table Tennis, along with the Inter-School District Level Competitions in Badminton and Hockey for Under-19 girls, held at different venues of the district.
The events were organized under the patronage of Director General, YSS J&K, Anuradha Gupta, guidance of Joint Director YSS Jammu, Vinakshi Koul, Deputy Director Central, Jetinder Mishra and overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
In Yoga (U-19 Girls, Zonal Level), Niharika Rajput of MHAC Bhalwal secured 1st place, followed by Rudrakshi Manhas (MHAC Bhalwal) 2nd, Bhawani Sharma (MHAC Bhalwal) 3rd, Nidhi Kumar (MHAC Bhalwal) 4th, and Banchhi (GHSS Shastri Nagar) 5th.
In Badminton (U-19 Girls, Inter-School District Level), APS Rakh Muthi defeated KC Gurukul by 2-0 in the first semi-final, while Heritage Jammu beat BSF Paloura 2-0 in the second. In the final, Heritage Jammu emerged champions, defeating APS Rakh Muthi by 2-0.
