JAMMU: In a meeting of Jammu & Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) held on Wednesday in Jammu under Chairmanship of Er Sachin Tickoo, General Secretary and attended Er Ashok Dubey Vice President, Er M P Singh Provincial Secretary, Er Rajeshwar Jamwal Provincial Publicity Secretary, Er Yash Paul Organizing Secretary, Er Parshottam Lal Sharma Cashier and Er Vipul Sharma-Treasurer.
During the meeting, participants highlighted numerous hardships being faced by approximately 30,000 employees of PDD on account of delay in disbursal of salaries due to routing of salary through Grant-in aid mode. “Employees are without salary on Diwali as funds couldn’t get released on time owing to the cumbersome procedure of Grant-in Aid,” Tickoo said, seeking intervention of LG in the issue as all employees are suffering on account of non-drawal of salary due to red-tapism of Finance department. He further requested that terms of employment and manner of disbursal of salaries of employees borne on establishment of PDD and currently on deputation to these corporations, should not be changed due to unbundling. JKEEGA urged LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta to issue instructions to Finance department for routing the salary component of Power Development Department earmarked in budget 2021-22 through BEAMs and Pay Sys for employees, on deputation to the various corporations of PDD as it would help in ending unnecessary hardships being faced by employees of PDD for salaries.
