RAJOURI, Sept 27: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Rajouri, launched the Inter-District Divisional Level Under-19 Boys Volleyball Tournament with an energetic opening ceremony and the first round of matches.
The launch was graced by chief guest Additional SP Bikram Kumar, along with guests of honour Deputy Director (Retd) Mohd Din, DySP Akshay Khajuria and SHO Abid Bukhari, who encouraged the young athletes.
The semi-finals showcased impressive performances. Jammu defeated Rajouri, with Sandeep Singh earning Man of the Match, while Kathua beat Samba, with Tanush Singh Manhas named Man of the Match. The final between Jammu and Kathua is scheduled for tomorrow. Organized under District Youth Services Officer Mohd Qasim, with oversight by ZPEO Baljarallan Wali Mohd, the tournament fosters talent, healthy competition, and regional camaraderie in volleyball.
