Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s wife, Gitanjali Angmo, appealed to President Droupadi Murmu for her husband’s unconditional release. Wangchuk was arrested under the National Security Act and moved to Jodhpur, accused of inciting violence during Ladakh protests demanding statehood and Sixth Schedule status. Angmo alleges a “witch hunt” against him for his advocacy.
