REASI, Oct 1: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Reasi organized the Inter-School District Level Trials for AAG Boys Athletics at General Zorawar Singh Stadium and U-19 selection trials in Shooting, Judo, and Archery at SMVD Sports Complex, Katra. Over 200 students from various schools participated with enthusiasm. The event was supervised by DYSSO Reasi, Tarsem Singh. Participants also took the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” pledge and joined a “Sewa Parv” cleanliness drive led by ZPEO Asha Devi.
In Shooting, Yashica from HSS Panthal secured 1st position with a score of 381/400. In Judo (U-19), winners included Jashan (-45kg), Aditya Kumar (-50kg), Dharamvir Singh (-55kg), Shubam Singh (-60kg), Rajveer Singh (-66kg), Bhawani Partap Singh (-73kg), Krishana Sanmotra (-81kg), and Prikshit Singh (-90kg). Girls’ winners were Neelam Devi (-40kg), Pooja Devi (-44kg), Diksha Devi (-48kg), Kashu Devi (-52kg), Vishali Sharma (-57kg), and Sunita (-63kg).
In athletics, U-14 winners included Manik Kumar (100m), Mohd Owais (200m), Mohd Alyas (400m) and Mashkor Ahmed (600m). U-17 winners: Sahil Kumar (200m), Rahil Manhas (400m), Aryan Sharma (800m & 1500m), Imtiyaz Hussain (3000m). In javelin throw, Danish Verma (U-19), Suraj Prakash (U-17), and Kunal Kumar (U-14) secured top spots. In discus throw, winners included Varun Rajput (U-17), Dheeraj Kotwal (U-19), and Kunal Kumar (U-14). In long jump, Kuldeep Singh (U-14), Hardev Singh (U-17), and Danish Verma (U-19) excelled. In high jump, Rahul Singh (U-14), Bharamjrrt Singh (U-17) and Zakir Hussain (U-19) took first place.
