SRINAGAR, Oct 4: The Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF) 2025 is all set to be held from October 11-12 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) here.
Addressing a press conference, the organisers said the festival – the flagship initiative of the Srikula Foundation – will bring together renowned authors, poets, journalists, thinkers and artists to celebrate literature, ideas and dialogue.
Naira Manzoor from the Srikula Foundation said that through the KLF, the foundation strives to preserve, celebrate and promote the rich literary heritage of Kashmir.
“Providing a platform for its writers, poets and storytellers to reach wider audiences while ensuring that the Valley’s unique voices, traditions and narratives continue to inspire generations to come,” she said.
Advocate Jehanzeb Allaqband, from the organising team, said KLF is a celebration of words, ideas and culture in the heart of the Valley.
“More than just a gathering of writers and thinkers, it is a vibrant platform where stories come alive, voices are heard and dialogues bridge communities,” he said.
With thought-provoking sessions, panel discussions, book launches, poetry readings and cultural performances, KLF 2025 promises to be a vibrant confluence of creativity and inspiration, they said.
The festival is being organised with the support of its sponsors – J&K Bank, the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, and others.
Aishwariya Attri, also from the organising team, said the festival aims to nurture young talent and promote understanding through storytelling.
Notably, KLF 2025 will feature over 50 speakers and sessions on literature, history, media, art, technology and cultural heritage.
It will also include a book fair, art exhibition and events focusing on young and women writers.
